Point Pelee 2003

Here is a gallery of a few of the more memorable birds we saw:

We had a great few days of birding.  Arrived at Wheatley Provincial Park to camp on the 10th.  The 11th was very cold and windy.  A personal best 102 species were seen on a much brighter, warmer May 12.  Left early on May 13.  Birded area included Pelee National Park and Hillman Marsh.

Sunday, May 11 and Monday, May 12 were cold and windy -- gusting 80-100 km/hr. It took some doing to get the tent up, but it stayed up -- even when we weren't inside to weigh it down.

The wind and cold also kept the birds low and very inactive.

Here's are a few pics of the effects on us, and the birds.
